HOW DO I FIND YOU?

Like many parts of the Yorkshire Dales, the postcode alone can’t be relied on – please don’t rely on your SatNav!

The address is White Rose Cottage, Constable Burton, DL8 5RG. The cottage is situated behind Parkgate House. The best way to find us is to look for the entrance to Constable Burton Hall and Gardens – the entrance and large gravelled car park is directly opposite, through the wooden double gates.

An easy way to find us is to use what3words. Our location is ///visions.bookings.expectant

Our nearest mainline station is Northallerton.

We are proud of the fantastic reviews we have received from guests over the years. You can read a selection of these on our reviews page and a guest book can be found in the cottage.

As dog owners ourselves, we know that pets are part of the family. We are happy to accept up to 2 dogs, for which there is a charge of £25 per dog and these should be added at the time of booking. Other pets are not allowed. By booking a stay at White Rose Cottage you agree to abide our terms and conditions relating to pets.

White Rose Cottage is a cosy one-bedroom property and is designed for two people so isn’t suitable for toddlers or older children, but we can accept an infant under 2 years, sleeping in a cot in the same bedroom. We can provide you with a travel cot on request, but please bring your own bedding. There is no additional charge for infants. By booking a stay at White Rose Cottage you agree to ensure that any children are supervised at all times, particularly around the log burning stove, BBQ, oven, and in outdoor areas.

White Rose Cottage standard self-check-in time is from 16:00. The check-out time is 10:00 a.m.

If you wish to request an early arrival or late check out you must arrange this with us in advance of your stay and be amenable to any resulting surcharge. We reserve the right to make a surcharge for a departure which is later than ten minutes from the agreed checkout time, as this adversely impacts the quality of our preparations for incoming guests.

All bookings include a welcome pack. We are keen to reduce our carbon footprint and support the excellent local businesses in the area. We source all the items for welcome packs within a five-mile radius of the property and local ingredients and suppliers are used wherever possible.

Contents of the welcome pack can vary depending on season and availability of produce but at a minimum will include eggs, milk, bread, butter and some sweet treats. Starter packs of tea, coffee and sugar are also provided, as is salt and pepper.

Everyday essentials such as washing up liquid, dishcloth, washing up sponge, tea towels, oven gloves, apron, kitchen roll, cling film, tin foil, baking paper, hand wash, shampoo, and body wash are also provided. We also provide a quantity of toilet rolls.

We have a 3-night minimum stay; this increases to 7 nights during some peak periods. Please contact us for further details.

We offer flexible changeover days and can accommodate arrivals on any day of the week.

We love it when guests choose to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions with us. We’ve hosted marriage proposals (she said yes!), honeymoons, wedding anniversaries and ‘big birthdays’. Get in touch with us to discuss your requirements, whether that’s fresh flowers, champagne or something else, we’d be happy to help if we can.

Absolutely! The detached cottage sits in the gardens of our family home, but is not overlooked by the main house; the houses sit perpendicular to each other. The cottage has its own gravel courtyard surrounded by a low wall. The lawned garden is next to the entrance of our family home, but surrounded by mature shrubs. The car parking, with ample space for cars, is shared. Please feel to get in touch with us if you would like further information.

There is a dedicated EO Electric Vehicle Charging Point available for use in the car park area. This is priced at the cost per kWh the electricity provider charges at the time of your stay and is metered separately. All you will need is your own charging lead (EVCP – 7.2KW, Type 2 Socket, Fast Charger).

Bookings are paid for online via the booking pages on the White Rose Cottage website. All payments are made in £GBP Sterling.

Any charges incurred by White Rose Cottage for receiving payments from overseas will be passed to the Guest making the booking.

If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer, then please contact us to discuss.
